Pleasure in the Moment
These images are a part of an audio-visual installation called Pleasure in the Moment which was created in 1985. Some of the images use multiple exposures of different kinds of films (black and white, color infrared). After graduating from art school I had access at work to more sophisticated multi-media equipment including a Marron Carrel cell animation camera. The Marron Carrel provided a then easy way to create multiple exposure effects using a variety of traditional photographic films (Ektachrome and Kodachrome) as well as more unique graphic arts films. Some images are comprised of up to 20 exposures and use a half dozen or so different types of films and masks.
